Google has launched a new tool within the Google Search Console known as “removals” tool. This tool does three things:
1. It allows you to hide URLs temporarily from showing in the Google search.
2. It displays which of your content is not on Google because it is outdated.
3. It shows you which of the URLs are filtered by Google’s SafeSearch adult filter.

1. Remove URLs Temporarily
It allows you to hide your URLs from appearing on the Google search results for around six months. However, if you want to remove the page permanently, you’ll need to block the URL using a 404 or robots.txt. In this, Google gives you two options:
• Hide URLs from Google SERPs for six months and clear the cached copy of the page.
• Clear cache URL that wipes out the page description snippet in search results until the page is crawled again.
2. Outdated Content

It provides information on removal requests made through public Remove Outdated Content tool, that can be used by anyone (not just site owners) to update the search results showing information no longer present on a page. You can see a history of all requests made to update or remove the outdated content on your site in the last six months.
3. SafeSearch Filtering
This section displays the pages that are marked as adult content. Most often, Google blocks these kinds of content. Users can report specific URLs as adult-only, and Google then reviews the pages. If Google feels that the content should be filtered, then the URL is tagged as adult content. Previously, it was hard to identify the pages that were blocked as it was being labeled as adult content. So this would help communicate that.
The change of address feature was available in the old Google Search Console interface. However, when Google shut down the old interface, this feature was also eliminated. Fortunately, Google reintroduced this feature.
This tool is a way to tell Google that you are moving your site to a new address. For example, if you are moving from www.example.com to www.example2.com. You can use the Change of Address tool to inform Google when you move your website from one domain to another. This tells Google about the change and helps redirect old site visitors to your new website.
Open Google Search Console and go to settings. You’ll see the option to change the address.
The first step to using the change of address tool is setting up 301 redirects from your old site to the new one. This will help you bring visitors who are entering your old URL.
Once you have completed the first step, you can enter the new URL and update the same on the Google Search Console.
If you don’t inform Google when migrating from one domain to another, you will likely lose a lot of traffic. Google will show your old URL on the results page, and you’ll have to start your SEO from scratch.
When you tell Google about changing the domain, Google will redirect your visitors to your new site. Additionally, it will show your unique URL in the search engine results page.
Note: It might take up to 180 days to complete the moving process after you have initiated the request in Google Search Console.
